Shopping, working and living - the two residential buildings are part of an extensive urban development project. The aim was to create a mixed neighbourhood with the high energy standards of the state of Vorarlberg and with spacious, green outdoor areas. The first building contains owner-occupied flats, the second subsidised rental flats. On the ground floor, two shops open onto the surrounding park.

The polygonal shape offers each residential unit a variety of orientations as well as a terrace, loggia or balcony – depending on the room layout. In the brown-clad owner-occupied house, prefabricated, bay-like protruding concrete elements frame the corner loggias and lend the building a sculptural plasticity. Light-coloured façade panels with red perforated sheet metal parapets give the larger rental apartment building a certain lightness.

All flats are accessed via a central, naturally lit atrium. The load-bearing structures are made of concrete and the partition walls of timber studs clad with fibre cement panels. The residential complex fulfils the high requirements for passive house construction in Vorarlberg.
