Social integration through sport
Am Seebogen in the Seestadt Aspern, we have constructed two buildings with 90 subsidised flats as well as commercial premises, offices and studios. The complex consists of an elongated, five- to six-storey linear building and a compact, taller solitary building, connected in the basement. The bend in the row building defines an attractive forecourt and almost completely cancels out the barrier effect of the elevated underground railway line.
The Elinor-Ostrom-Park, which combines play and sports elements with attractive seating and sunbathing areas, is located in the centre of the neighbourhood. The sports programme for all age groups promotes interaction and communication between residents and encourages an active lifestyle. Low-threshold sports and fitness activities in social housing are an important contribution to a lively living environment, especially in growing, dense neighbourhoods.

Powerful plasticity
Reliefed, mineral façades, recessed loggias and jumps in height create a varied image. The buildings thus gain a powerful plasticity and at the same time react to the scale of their surroundings.
The layered solitaire stacks its functions according to the public interest: from sport and business on the ground floor to coworking space and shared flats on the levels above to the purely residential floors

Naturally lit, spacious foyers give tenants barrier-free access to their flats.

The private open spaces are designed as sheltered loggias due to the wind-exposed location. A club centre with a café and outdoor dining area enlivens the forecourt.

The communal sauna on the roof invites you to relax.

Communal rooms with terraces on the roof offer residents a quiet retreat and raised beds for gardening.
