Christof Stäheli studied architecture at ETH Zurich. After several years of professional experience, he completed his postgraduate studies for developing countries (NADEL) at ETH Zurich and subsequently headed a project in Cameroon for two years. From 1986 he worked with his father Fritz Stäheli in the joint office Stäheli & Stäheli Architekten in St Gallen. The collaboration with Dietrich Untertrifaller began in 2000, before the St Gallen branch Dietrich Untertrifaller Stäheli was founded five years later. Christof Stäheli is a specialist for hospital construction and manages the Swiss projects of Dietrich Untertrifaller from St Gallen.
